Sponging

The natural sponge is a wonderful tool for wall glazing which can manipulated to obtain very subtle movement and texture. It is an all time favorite finish which can also be combined with other glazing tools for further nuanced wall finishes. As part of our “seamless” applications we take special care to avoid all distracting dark zones from glazing overlaps, including hard to treat corners.
Although it may have plenty of subtle movement and varied texture, sponging can render a subtle and calm ambience to a room décor.
The natural sponge can also be a softening tool to blend together heavier ragging applications, as seen in this powder room below.
Natural looking finishes can also be obtained using the sponge in combination with other glazing tools. On this bathroom walls (below) we aimed for a limestone imitation.
